Name of creator
Peter T. Millard was born in Treorchy, Wales, in 1932 and first came to Canada in 1955 to attend McGill University. He received a BA from McGill in 1959, and continued his education at Wadham College, Oxford, from which he received a BA and a PhD. Millard joined the University of Saskatchewan in 1961 as an Instructor in English; he eventually became head of the department. He also served a one-year term as Head of the Faculty Association. Professor Millard retired from the University in December 1991.
Scope and content
This fonds contains considerable information pertaining to art and artists, galleries, collectors, and dealers; and are particularly useful in documenting the careers of Patrick Hayman and Dmytro Stryjek. Additionally, it contains material relating to human rights in Saskatchewan; sexual discrimination; homosexuality; and the Visual Aids Campaign.
