Biographical history

Clarance Crawford McAusland was born August14, 1919 SE 1/4-45-19 W2nd Saskatchewan. His parents were Crawford Nelson McAusland and Charlotte Robson. The McAusland family homesteaded in the Melfort area in 1892. Clarance continues to farm the origianl family homestead. He attended Vaughan, Melfort View and Melfort High Schools. Clarance was active in the Grain Club, Swine Club, Melfort Agricultural Society, Melfort United Church, Masonic Lodge, and Melfort Rotary Club.

Fonds include black and white photographs and negatives of Melfort, surrounding district, farmsteads, and threshing activities, as well as McAusland, Robson, Kirkpatick, and Sparrow family photographs.
