The fonds consists of textual materials created by (and relating to) the Synod of Saskatchewan, its General Interests Committee, and the Treasurer of the Church Union Expense Fund.

Contents include: Synod minutes (1906-1924), published and unpublished; correspondence relating to the Church Union Expense Fund (1923-1925); mimeographed material sent out by the General Interests Committee (1922-1925); a handwritten outline of a speech on church union (no date); and documents published by the Synod.

Minutes of the First Synod of Saskatchewan, held in Knox Church, Regina (Nov. 6-8, 1906) -- bound booklet.

Files include minutes of Saskatchewan Synod, documenting actions of the Synod, as well as Presbytery Rolls, which give the name of the congregation, minister in charge and address, and the name of the representative elder.

Files include minutes published under two titles: Minutes of the ...Synod of Saskatchewan (1906-1909 and 1918-1924); Acts and Proceedings of the ...Synod of Saskatchewan (1910-1917). The contents for each publication are generally similar for each year.

Correspondence of Rev. D.S. Dix, Synodical Treasurer of the Church Union Expense Fund, concerning collections for the Fund. A committee was appointed by the Synod to collect money, which was then forwarded for the use of the national committee. The correspondence is mainly about the amounts collected but a few letters mention problems or success in making collections. The file also includes a copy of the Minutes of Church Union Synod Committee, November 11, 1924.

File contains mimeographed material sent out by the General Interests Committee, including: Minutes of the Committee meeting of June 21, 1922; Digest of the Minutes of the Committee meeting of June 24, 1924; and Minutes of the Executive of the Synodical Committee on Church Union vote, February 12, 1925.
