This fonds contains abstracts, research reports, and articles, including research on soil structure analysis, soils and roots, chemical herbicides, and weed control. It also includes a copy of Dr. Pavlychenko's thesis, "Root Systems of Certain Forage Crops in Relation to the Management of Agricultural Soils" and lecture notes, bibliographies, list of references and background material, including precipitation records from 1920-1950. In addition, there is a considerable amount of correspondence, both with individuals such as L.E. Kirk, G.D. Fuller, H. Ohorodnyk, and Premier Stewart Garson of Manitoba, as well as with various associations and companies, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Bureau of Plant Industry, and the Canadian Pacific Railway (specifically concerning weed control on railway rights of way). The fonds includes records documenting Isabelle Mills’ career as a professor at the University of Saskatchewan, a doctoral candidate at Columbia University, and a teacher at Brandon College. Her strong interest in and promotion of Canadian music is reflected in a broad collection of musical scores, including relatively early sheet music; correspondence relating to the Canadian Music Centre; records relating to courses taught and Canadian music concerts organized; and other material including a variety of general information about Canadian music and composers. Her role as director of the Quance Chorus at the University of Saskatchewan is documented by a fairly complete set of concert programs and a selection of audio tapes of concerts. There are also records relating to church music (including a variety of United Church of Canada hymn books); records relating to Canadian music; musical scores including piano, vocal and choral music. There is also material relating to her research and extension/community service activities, including her lecture tour to the Ukraine and the Buxtehude/Scheidt Festival and Conference; material relating to her role as Assistant Dean; and other material including personal memorabilia and administrative correspondence.

This collection primarily consists of Laycock's addresses and articles. Among the many topics covered in this material are child and adolescent development, mental health, parent-teacher cooperation, exceptional children, and penal reform. Additionally, it contains some biographical information, including a taped interview (1970) and the article, "My Work in the Mental Health Field, 1940-1970."

Collection consists of programs from theatre productions, but also music and dance and some special events. The collection primarily documents the performing arts in Saskatoon and area - notably Persephone Theatre, Saskatoon Gateway Players and the Saskatoon Symphony - and includes representation from a number of independent theatre companies, some no longer in operation. Internationally, there is an extensive set of programs from the United Kingdom, most extensively from London, Cambridge, and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Houston's teaching, research and scholarly pursuits. The extensive research files primarily relate to: congenital dislocation of the hip in native people; anti-smoking activities; and the history of radiology in Saskatchewan and Canada. Drafts, files and correspondence document the preparation of publications on the Franklin Expeditions, T.A. Patrick, and R.G. Ferguson. Administrative records relate to Dr. Houston's position as Head of Medical Imaging.

This fonds documents amateur and professional theatre in and around Saskatoon and contains extensive material relating to the design of costumes, including background research and watercolour design sketches.

This fonds contains an initial section of articles and reviews written by J.M Hayden. The remainder is correspondence, notes, drafts, and research material relating to his Doctoral thesis, "The Estates General of 1614" and his four published books: "France and the Estates General of 1614", "The Manning of the British Navy During the Seven Years War" [written by Stephen Gradish and edited by Hayden], "So Much To Do, So Little Time: The Writings of Hilda Neatby" and "Seeking A Balance: The University of Saskatchewan 1907-1982." The latter two contain the most extensive material, and are particularly relevant to the study of the University of Saskatchewan's history.

This fonds contains personal and research files on various topics, including a study of the Clwydian Range in North Wales, petrology, mineralogy, soil composition, oil and gas, sodium sulphate and soil mapping. In addition, there are a considerable number of area studies for Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and specifically the Lloydminister area, as well as 75 research reports done for private companies. There are also articles on poetry and the theatre - two of Professor Edmunds's personal interests.
