Ross supporting the project.

Fonds consists primarily of copies of World War Two diaries maintained by the Saskatoon Light Infantry, January 1940 to December 1944. The diaries generally include a summary of events and information for each day of the month; battalion orders part I relating to movement orders, security, protocol, etc.; part II orders listing names of regiment members under a number of different headings (strength increase/decrease, leaves, honours and awards, etc.); and field returns of officers. A few diaries include photographs. The fonds also includes a scrapbook, notebooks with lists of SLI members, the honour roll, lists of SLI members (including casualties) prepared after the war, and memoirs by Howard Mitchell, W.F. Six original Canadian letters from World War Two, with content about the destroyer HMCS Athabaskan, pride in service, the Wrens, criticisms of those young men not serving, and duties while in service. Two of the letters were written by Telegrapher Leonard Woolsey. The other letters were written by Barbara Woolsey. The letters were addressed to Eldon Woolsey, brother of Leonard and son of Barbara, who served overseas with the RCAF.

This fonds contains issues of a newspaper written and produced by a group of boys (Syd Frost, John Hutch, Murray Leddy)who lived on Saskatchewan Crescent in the 1930s. Called “The Cres News” its pages report on local and international news, society stories, as well as hand drawn ads, cartoons, with jokes and poems. They detail the life of a Saskatoon resident, through the eyes of a 13 year old boy.

This collection consists primarily of photocopies of correspondence, articles, photographs, sessional papers, and press clippings, related to William Henry Jackson (or Honore Jaxon, as he is also known) including copies of his correspondence. The originals of much of the material dates from 1885. The material is organized and recorded according to the structure that Griffen and Greenland have devised.

Vincent was one of the pioneers in this field, and much of his research and interests relate to the identification of and assistance for physicians under duress in their working, private, and spiritual lives. In addition, there is material relating to the development of the Palliative Care Movement at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal, in the early 1970's, as well as material regarding Christianity and medicine, ethics, alcohol abuse, marriage and family relationships, etc.
