This fonds consists of minutes and correspondence relating to several College of Arts and Science committees, the Bookstore Committee, and the Departmental Committee on Teaching History in High Schools. There are also committee minutes and proposals related to the University of Saskatchewan’s plans for Canadian centennial celebrations in 1967.

The fonds includes records documenting Isabelle Mills’ career as a professor at the University of Saskatchewan, a doctoral candidate at Columbia University, and a teacher at Brandon College. Her strong interest in and promotion of Canadian music is reflected in a broad collection of musical scores, including relatively early sheet music; correspondence relating to the Canadian Music Centre; records relating to courses taught and Canadian music concerts organized; and other material including a variety of general information about Canadian music and composers. Her role as director of the Quance Chorus at the University of Saskatchewan is documented by a fairly complete set of concert programs and a selection of audio tapes of concerts. There are also records relating to church music (including a variety of United Church of Canada hymn books); records relating to Canadian music; musical scores including piano, vocal and choral music. There is also material relating to her research and extension/community service activities, including her lecture tour to the Ukraine and the Buxtehude/Scheidt Festival and Conference; material relating to her role as Assistant Dean; and other material including personal memorabilia and administrative correspondence.

This fonds documents the career of Douglas Schmeiser, notably his work as a constitutional advisor both in Canada and internationally; his work with the Law Reform Commission of Saskatchewan, as well as his study of judicial independence and judicial compensation; and his work on human rights.

This fonds consists primarily of materials relating to Dr. Hasell's research, writing, and teaching. It includes Dr. Gordon Snelgrove's teaching copy of "Art Through the Ages," Ukrainian embroidery samples originally collected by the Saskatoon Arts and Crafts Society, research papers, and 1,012 slides relating to art history and furniture design.

This fonds contains research notes, articles, clippings, circulars, and reports on topics including forage crops, root studies, dairy production, settlement and migration, and the railway.

This fonds contains offprints collected by Dr. Knight. The primary focus of the material deals with photochemistry (a branch of chemistry having to do with the effect of radiant energy, especially light, in producing chemical action). This fonds contains correspondence, clippings, financial fonds, reports, and notes pertaining to the activities and interests of R.C. Carter.

This fonds contains correspondence, diaries, published and unpublished manuscripts by Carpenter, publications by Carpenter and others and photographs. Series I deals primarily with the genealogy and history of the Carpenter, Smith and Lawrence families.

This fonds contains personal files, correspondence, research materials, publications, meeting files, administrative records, association files and photographs relating to C.S. Houston's teaching, research and scholarly pursuits. The extensive research files primarily relate to: congenital dislocation of the hip in native people; anti-smoking activities; and the history of radiology in Saskatchewan and Canada. Drafts, files and correspondence document the preparation of publications on the Franklin Expeditions, T.A. Patrick, and R.G. Ferguson. Administrative records relate to Dr. Houston's position as Head of Medical Imaging.

This fonds contains correspondence, reports, articles and addresses relating to Professor Shaw's career and research. There is considerable material regarding the development of livestock breeding, agricultural marketing in Canada, and the drought on the prairies during the 1930s. In addition, it contains memorabilia related to the career of Winkona Wheelock Frank, the first nutritionist at the University of Saskatchewan.

This fonds reflects Kerr's vocational and avocational interests. His academic activities include not only his own writing in a variety of genres but also his editing, assessment and review of the contributions of others to prose, poetry, drama and film. His service to the community external to the University is primarily evident in the political, arts and heritage fields.

This fonds contains correspondence; minutes; reports; working papers; briefs and submissions; both for the Advisory Planning Committee on Medical Care, and for the Oil and Gas Conservation Board. Additionally, there is material from Thompsons's tenure as President of the University of Saskatchewan; material related to the International Botanical Congress and the International Congress of Genetics; and several reference books, primarily dealing with Medicare in Canada and abroad.

This fonds primarily deals with Gunvaldsen's unpublished manuscript, "The Undiscovered Franz Kafka". There are drafts, notes, clippings, books, and correspondence. There are also several files of a more general nature dealing primarily with German intellectual history. Material is in English and German.

This fonds documents Dommasch's career as a medical and artistic photographer and educator. This photographic material covers a wide range of subject matter, with particular emphasis on medicine, natural history, the Canadian arctic, and grain elevators. Considerable reference material, relating to the history of photography as a science and an art, is also included. In addition, this fonds contains Dommasch's extensive collection of posters, including those used for the exhibition, "Posters Against War and Violence." This fonds contains correspondence, clippings, notes, certificates and awards, photographs, slides, sketches, posters, films and publications documenting the interests and career of Hans Dommasch.

This fonds provides only partial documentation of R. M. Ferguson's career at the University of Saskatchewan but represents a substantial portion of his academic research.
