Bio/Historical Note: In the College of Agriculture and Bioresources building is the Beamish Conservatory, named to honor May Kenderdine Beamish (1898-1998), who with her husband Oswald (1900-1982), farmed near Lashburn, Saskatchewan. She was the daughter of Gus Kenderdine, Beamish’s financial contributions enabled the University to include both the Kenderdine Art Gallery, a home for her father’s artwork, and the Beamish Conservatory.
