Terry Fox Runs - Cheque Presentation

The Saskatchewan Bulletin, Dec. 12, 1980, p. 7; "Students from James O. Begg school in Swift Current hold up a cheque representing the proceeds from their campaign to raise funds for the Terry Fox marathon of hope. The 185 students attending the K-6 school participated in a run that extended over three weeks and in the following three weeks collected the pledges made to support them. The children seen in the photo are those who ran the most laps for their respective classrooms."

Red Cross 1976-80 - First Aid Seminar

The Saskatchewan Bulletin, Nov. 16, 1977, p. 3 ; "Basic first aid for Grade 6 was featured at a teachers' seminar held last month at Red Cross headquarters in Regina. The 2 1/2 hour orientation course included demonstration and practice sessions such as this one on dealing with an arm wound. Seen here with Gloria Lynch, Red Cross Youth consultant for Saskatoon city schools, are Gil LeBlanc and Brian Weiman, also of Saskatoon. The first aid program for Grade 6 has recently been added to the Red Cross health and safety services to schools."
