This fonds is comprised of memorabilia created and collected by Kathleen McClelland about the McClelland, Brubaker and Battell families. It includes sections of the newspaper and newspaper clippings where members of her family are mentioned. It contains compiled family histories of the Brubakers and the McClellands as well as photographs of various family members. This fonds also includes a Moose Jaw School District No. 1 100th Anniversary Calendar – Kathleen McClelland, S. Ernest M. McClelland, Kathleen’s father, and Rella (Brubaker) Hunter, Kathleen’s aunt, were all teachers in Moose Jaw.

This fonds contains a portion of a notebook containing an English-Aboriginal language dictionary. The dictionary was compiled by Dr. John Maclean and identified as such by Annie Wallis. Her name and Dr. John Maclean’s name are inscribed on the last page of the notebook. Although the language of the dictionary is not identified in the text, the language departments of the First Nations University in Regina, Saskatchewan believe it is Dakota.

The fonds was donated to the museum in 2012 by staff of the Government of Canada’s Agroforestry Centre, prior to its closure in 2014. From 1901 to 2013, the nursery provided over 650 million tree and shrub seedlings and rooted cuttings (poplar and willow) to the prairie regions of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, as well as the Peace River District of BC for use in farmyard, field and roadside shelterbelts for wind, snow and erosion control. It was the major single employer in Indian Head for most of its existence.
It was previously known as the Shelterbelt Centre, the Tree Nursery and the Forest Nursery Station and belonged, at times, to the Department of the Interior, the Department of Regional and Economic Expansion and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. It operated under the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA) from 1963 to 2008 and under the Agri-Environment Service Branch (AESB) from 2008 to 2013.
The distribution of trees and shrubs for shelter was initiated by Angus MacKay, first superintendent of the Experimental Farm. Because of the rapid increase in demand by farmers, a dedicated Forest Nursery Station was created south of Indian Head.
The fonds contains historic reports, publications, correspondence and documents from 1890 to 1994. All of the items are contained in letter-sized plastic sleeves. The slides are grouped in the cabinet by subject area and by years and are all numbered and titled and indexed in two accompanying binders that are used as a finding aid. Most of the slides are technical in nature (pictures of trees and shrubs, insects, shelterbelts, etc.) but some categories include people who were, in some way, involved in the shelterbelt program.

This fonds reflects the historical research and writing conducted by Richard Dowson. Dowson has completed extensive research on Moose Jaw during WWII. It includes writings on George William ‘Bill’ Ward, a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and the history of Moose Jaw residents in relation to the sinking of the Line Athenia. It also includes the history of the Moose Jaw Dam-buster Airmen, Sergeant-Pilot Kenneth Brown and Pilot Officer Robert Alexander Urquhart.

This fonds contains tax assessments and notices of Mary E. Horn pertaining to land she purchased in Moose Jaw. It also includes a land plot advertisement, as well as correspondences and receipts regarding the land purchase.

This fonds contains one marriage certificate of Richard Wilson and Mary Caroline Wilson dated November 29, 1893.

This fonds contains photographs of Cliff Henderson and his family and others, as well as a medallion from the Saskatchewan Curling Association.

This fonds consists of minutes of meetings, correspondence, reports of services and activities, membership and volunteer services as well as scrapbooks of newspaper clippings and photographs of the business, activities and history of the International, Canadian, and local Red Cross. The minutes are complete from the inaugural meeting held in 1914 to the final meeting in 1991 when the Moose Jaw office closed.

This fonds is composed of nine series including constitutional documents, membership records, minutes, annual reports, correspondence, financial records, various records of the Canadian Federation of University Women, and the records relating to the various scholarships and the preschool managed by the club.

This fonds contains one series of a daily journal that J. H. Brubaker kept in 1920. Notes were made on the weather, loans, payments due, and day to day tasks.

This fonds contains a single series of a minute book of the Moose Jaw Lodge of The Sons of England Benefit Society that was kept from 1904 to 1907.

This fonds contains two journals and a scrapbook kept by John Walker from 1925 to 1967. They all portray Mr. Walker's enjoyment of bird watching as well as his involvement in the Saskatchewan Natural History Society. Also included are newsletters from the Saskatchewan Natural History Society and invitations from the Government of Saskatchewan to the Annual Dinner of the American Ornithologists' Union.

This fonds contains Minute Books of meetings of the South African War Veterans Association of Moose Jaw, documentation of the finances of the association as well as correspondence between the association and its members. The minute books also include correspondence between the Association and other organizations or local government. Throughout the fonds are various newspaper clippings concerning members of the association.

This fonds consists of several series dealing with the activities of J. E. Pascoe during his time as Member of Parliament, Chairman of the Golden Jubilee Committee, the Mayor of Moose Jaw and as a private citizen. See General Note.

The fonds contains several series containing programs of events, the League's official business in their operation and the League's efforts in conserving and managing resources and wildlife.
