Battle Height Lodge Opened Up In North Battleford

Photograph of some of the residents and staff sitting in the Logie Lounge at the new Battle Height/River Heights Lodge in North Battleford SK. Included in the image is Mrs. C. Huber, the matron of the lodge. The lounge is named after Rev. Allan Logie, who was instrumental in organizing the project.

File consists of a document entitled "Battle History" for the 8th Canadian Reconnaissance Regiment (14th Canadian Hussars). Also includes a topographical map labelled "C Company".

Battle of Atlantic Celebrations

File contains photographs of veterans and naval cadets marching down a Saskatoon street and ending up at City Hall where a service was held to remember those who participated in the Battle of the Atlantic. Included are images of the cadet band as well as veterans laying down a wreath to honour those who fought, and gave up their lives in this battle.

Battle of Batoche Commemoration

File contains photographs of sites related to the Battle of Batoche, the final battle of the Northwest Resistance, including commemorative signs and monuments, the Roman Catholic church and rectory, grave sites, the remains of Middleton's trenches, the museum, Rev. Denis Dubuc, Batoche parish priest, and a large group who had travelled there from Prince Albert to tour the site with geologist Malcolm Norris. May 26, 1961.
