A black 3-ring letter-sized binder containing about 50 pages of a War Diary of the 17th Field Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery from 1945. The first page is also a pair of emails in 2009 between Mark Zuehlke and Gordie Bannerman about the diaries.

188th Battalion departure from armory

Post card format photo of military troops carrying supplies as they march away from an enclosure visible in the background. Inscription on front reads: "Departure of 188th Btl. from Armory, June 6, 1916, Prince Albert, Sask." John Diefenbaker's inscription on back reads "Lt. Col. Sam Donaldson's Battalion--From Mrs. Wapain 7207 Arcola St., Burnaby BC, Jan 29/68."
