Property files, 1925-1983

Series consists of files regarding the title to various church properties, including churches and manses, in Saskatchewan Conference (region), as well as general correspondence relating to property. Contents include correspondence, reports, financial records, and loan and grants documents.

Within the series, there are four sub-groupings: Titles; General; Manses; and Charges. "Property - TItles" files (no. 517 through 529) are mostly listed by type and contain correspondence pertaining to titles of church properties. "Property - General" files (530 through 549) are sorted alphabetically by topic and contain general correspondence pertaining to church properties. "Property - Manses" files (550 through 554) are sorted by sub-topics, e.g. furnishings, and contain correspondence and reports pertaining the furnishing, financing and modernization of manses. "Property - Charge" files (555 through 872) are organized by Pastoral Charge, from Aberdeen through Young-Zelma, and contain: general correspondence pertaining to properties held by particular charges in Sask. Conference; applications for loans and grants; building plans; financial statements; and annual reports. Photographs are also noted in this group.

Statistics, 1963-1975

Series contains correspondence, data sheets, schedules and other records relating to statistics tracking of Saskatchewan Conference and its Presbyteries.

Christian Education and Training Events, 1944-1973

Series contains minutes, reports, correspondence, pamphlets, curriculum materials, publications and other records relating to the work of the Board of Christian Education (including Adults, Senior Adults, Children and Youth sections), Saskatchewan Conference Christian Education Committee and other associated Committees, e.g. for Girls' Work, Boys' Work, Youth, Kairos. There are also Training Events files, covering planning, curriculum, correspondence and other documentation of events held for various audiences of leaders, youth, lay ministry and related groups.

Files appear organized in 3 main sets: Board of Christian Education (file no. 136 to 147); Saskatchewan Conference Christian Education Committee (file no. 148 to 162); and Training Events (file no.163 to 189).

Division of Mission, 1972-1976

Series contains correspondence and other records relating to the work of the United Church Division of Mission in Canada (which followed the Board of Home Missions, around 1972). Contents include files related to the division, its committees and related activities.

Home Missions, 1961-1973

Series contains minutes, reports, correspondence, and other records relating to the work of the United Church Board of Home Missions. Contents include files related to the Board's annual meetings, correspondence and financial assistance to congregations and programs (through various Home Mission Committees).

Canadian Girls in Training, 1954-1974

Series contains regulations, minutes, reports, correspondence, newsletters, pamphlets, clippings and other documents relating to the Canadian Girls in Training (C.G.I.T.) program. Contents include files for: the CGIT Camp Committee (1960-1970); CGIT Camp Council (1954-1970); CGIT Leadership Training Committee (1964-1969); CGIT Provincial Girls' Executive (1957-1961); the CGIT Saskatoon Local Committee (1948-1963); CGIT Senior Girls' Conferences (1960-1961); CGIT 50th Anniversary; and various National Committee documents.

Church Camps, 1959-1967

Series contains reports, correspondence, newsletters, and other documents relating to the Conference Camp Committee and the activities of various camps in Saskatchewan. Contents include files relating to: B'Say-Tah (1962); the Conference Camp Committee newsletter, Smoke Signals (1966-1967); Committee conferences and training events held at Prairie Christian Training Centre, or P.C.T.C. (1964-1966); a Camp Survey (1961); Crystal Lake United Church Camp (1964); Kipabiskau United Church Camp (1962-1964); and a Senior Girls Camp (1959-1961).

Brief Committee, 1964-1973

Series includes copies of briefs presented by Saskatchewan Conference to governments and church departments, as well as related correspondence and reports regarding the Brief Committee.
