Fonds consists of records generated by the historically associated Choiceland Pastoral Charge, Nipawin Pastoral Charge (later Nipawin-Codette Pastoral Charge), Smeaton Pastoral Charge, Snowdon Pastoral Charge, White Fox Pastoral Charge, Torch River Pastoral Charge, and their constituent churches – their boards, committees and related bodies, local women’s units and other groups.

Contents include: minutes of church boards, trustees, session, stewards, and congregational meetings; records of local Ladies Aid, Women’s Missionary Societies (W.M.S.), Women’s Association (W.A.) and United Church Women (U.C.W.) groups; historic rolls, communion rolls and related membership records; some financial records and annual reports; Home Mission and Church Records books from Choiceland and Nipawin; and church registers documenting baptisms, marriages and burials in Nipawin, Codette, Mossy Vale, Lost River, Elkhorn, Smeaton, White Fox, Garrick, Choiceland, and related area(s).

The fonds contains eight black and white photographs and one tintype in a photograph album. They remain in the order in which they were placed within the album. The photographs are all miniature portraits and, with the exception of the tintype, are mounted on a stiff paper backing. The album (one of two) was originally the property of Christina's parents, and had been brought to Canada from England when John Smith's parents emmigrated.

This fonds contains material relating to theatre in Saskatchewan. In particular, productions from the University of Saskatchewan (Greystone Theatre) and Gateway Players are well represented, but there is also material from numerous other theatre groups, including The Actor’s Lab, New Theatre Co-op, and Saskatoon Community Players. This fonds contains programmes from various plays, concerts, and cultural events, together with numerous productions in which Chrisse Bornstein played a role, either as an actor or behind the scenes. This information has been included within the file descriptions.

The fonds includes film footage and audio recordings created during Christopher Chapman’s film project relating to Richard St. Barbe Baker; photographs of the film shoot in British Columbia; correspondence, drafts, proposals, notes, etc. documenting the film project, including correspondence between Chapman and St. Barbe and between Chapman and others; photographs taken and collected by St. Barbe; letters sent to St. Barbe care of Chapman during his extended visit to Canada; articles and other resource material compiled by both Chapman and St. Barbe, especially relating to forestry and the environment, and about St. Barbe; and related material including slides of the Findhorn Community in Scotland.

This fonds contains materials relating to the career of Christopher Kent, professor and head of the history department at the University of Saskatchewan. This fonds documents his time as a professor teaching various history classes, his work in supervising masters and phd students in their thesis writing, his work with the Research Society for Victorian Periodicals and the Victorian Studies Association of Western Canada, as well as his time as head of the history department including his work with the Canadian Journal of History. Also included are some materials from his undergrad studies at the University of Toronto – mainly syllabus and other handouts, with some notes and essays when they related to his later research areas. As per his faculty bio his “research areas are “Bohemia” in Britain 1815-1914 – that is the social history of the artistic and literary professions and their relationship to the idea of Bohemia as a social and cultural, as well as actual physical space (particularly in London). Other continuing and related research interests are Victorian journalism and journalists, and Victorian novels and novelists.”

The collection consists primarily of documents relating to the histories of various local churches in Saskatchewan. Contents include written historical narratives (sketches) and notes, newspaper articles, pamphlets, and publications. Among these are volumes 1 and 2 of the local history book "Early History of Saskatchewan Churches (Grass Roots)", compiled and edited by Meredith B. Banting, ca.1975.

The collection consists of primarily textual materials relating to the Church Union movement and the organizations involved, including the Joint Committee on Church Union. There appears to be a mix of original documents and various published and copied items.

Contents include: Basis of Union documents from the Presbyterian Church (1905-1908) and Methodist Church (1909); records of proceedings, minutes, and publications by and relating to the Joint Committee on Church Union and its Subcommittees; documents relating to proposed legislation (1922-1924), the Act Incorporating the United Church of Canada, House of Commons debates on the topic, and associated Saskatchewan legislation (1924); publications and articles relating to the anti-union movement and the legal issues resulting from the division of the Presbyterian Church; copies of information regarding the voting returns on Union from across Canada (1925-1926); maps showing communities with local union churches; and a poster published by the Union Committee of the Presbyterian Church (1924).

The collection contains 32 black and white photographs and 64 color photographs dating from 1902 to 1986. All of the photographs were taken in Melfort, Saskatchewan and surrounding areas. They include photographs of local business, locations, and citizens. As well, there are a large number of images from the ceremony that was held in 1980 in celebration of Melfort's transition from town to city.

This fonds consists of three series. There are financial records from 1960 to 1976 contained in a ledger, as well as a cash book, cheque register, distribution and general finanacial journals covering finances from 1989 to 1991. The second series consists of eleven scrapbooks and binders filled with newspaper (press) clippings of notices, advertisements and information regarding the City of Moose Jaw from 1917 to 1978, compiled by the city clerk. The third series consists of a promotional booklet from 1906 produced by the city of Moose Jaw.
