This collection contains one oversize scrapbook mailed to King Edward School in 1951. The scrapbook was sent from St. Edmund’s School, Mansfield Woodhouse, Mansfield, Nottingham, Wales. The scrapbook was sent in response to King Edward School sending a scrapbook to St. Edmund’s School. The scrapbook includes pictures, drawings and information about the town and school.

This fonds contains photographs and memorabilia created and collected by Betty Dawn (Erb) Nicholl. It includes five photo albums containing photographs of her family, friends, and travels. Many of the photographs were taken in Moose Jaw and most of the photographs are identified. It also contains two Prairie Breezes newsletters, announcing Betty’s engagement and marriage to Wilson Nicholl as well as a Central Collegiate Institute 75th Reunion Yearbook.

This fonds consists of three series: Moose Jaw Air Show in 1930, Memorabilia and Correspondence. It includes air show souvenir programmes, air regulation examination, newspaper clippings, and correspondence to and from the club as well as records relating to the July 5, 1930 air show.

This fonds contains tax assessments and notices of Mary E. Horn pertaining to land she purchased in Moose Jaw. It also includes a land plot advertisement, as well as correspondences and receipts regarding the land purchase.

This fonds contains two series: Farm Documents and Memorabilia. The farm documents relate to material required to operate their farm, such as insurance policies, mortgages and Canadian Wheat Board forms and permits. Memorabilia include school, marriage, baptism, confirmation and lodge certificates given to various family members. The majority of certificates were presented to Julius Fortmann.

This fonds consists of two series. The Federation business includes minutes of meetings, membership lists, and correspondence covering the years 1943-1947. The second series includes lists of electors, reports, poll census forms, statements, returns, and election tally sheets of the 1945 Federal Election, as well as reports and correspondence of the CCF Victory Fund, 1944-1945. Two editions of “The CCF in the Legislature” (1941 with 1942 supplement and 1943) were transferred to the Library Collection.

This fonds consists of a series of scrapbooks kept by Sam A. Hamilton, one containing personal letters and memorabilia and newspaper clippings from the Moose Jaw Evening Times from 1911 to 1947, and another consisting of correspondence, reports, memorabilia and newspaper clippings relating to politics, including the Moose Jaw civic elections of 1918, 1919 and 1920.

This fonds contains the discharge certificate booklet of Osmund Naverseth from the Royal Norwegian Air Force.

This fonds contains a cash book used by C.C. McAlpine. It lists income paid to C.C. McAlpine by various people and organizations, including former Moose Jaw mayor Ernest Pascoe, and the Moose Jaw Public Library. Also included are correspondence letters within the cash book.

This fonds contains a photocopied souvenir booklet of the CHAB radio program “Golden Memories”.

The fonds consists of a detailed gardening diary in which Mr. Benson records dates of planting, harvesting, weather, comments on the varieties of flowers and vegetables planted. He also records some other significant local events. There is also a journal/guest book kept by Mrs. Benson recording her hosting of two teas for elderly ladies in Moose Jaw in 1930 and 1931. The lists of attendees include address, and year and place of birth. The remaining file consists of one item of correspondence to Mrs. Benson relating to one of the teas. This fonds also consists of two photo albums, with pictures taken by or of Marguerite (Benson) Gardner, a scrapbook of Thomas William Clayton’s scouting and an atlas from 1871.

This fonds consists of financial and employee records of Whimster’s Hardware in Moose Jaw from 1935 to 1944. There are instructions for employees, as well as letters from a former employee instructing an employee on a few job procedures.
