The bulk of the material deals with immigration, doctors, cholera, public health in Canada and biographies of Grant Powell, James Macauley, William Telfer and Frederich Montizambert. There is also material on the Boston Massacre and English colonial trade policy.

This series contains primary and secondary resource material from a number of sources pertaining to a variety of issues related to immigration and health at the national and provincial levels.

This series contains notes, photocopies, off-prints and index cards pertaining to a variety of historical topics. Files 2 and 3 deal with topics in American Colonial History.

This series contains correspondence, drafts, scripts, proofs, reviews, notes, index cards, photographs, illustations and serveys pertaining to five academic and juvenile books of fiction and non-fiction written by Dr. Bilson. The topics covered by the books include cholera in the 19th century, the Winnipeg General Strike, and the World War II evacuation of children from Great Britain to Canada.
