This series contains published and unpublished manuscripts, typescripts, off-prints, photos, slides and research notes. The bulk of the material deals with immigration, doctors, cholera, public health in Canada and biographies of Grant Powell, James Macauley, William Telfer and Frederich Montizambert. There is also material on the Boston Massacre and English colonial trade policy.

A large percentage of the research files contain photocopies of secondary and primary materials.
