SAIN provides information about the archives in Saskatchewan and their holdings.

To get started, type a search in the main search box, use the advanced search, or explore the browse options.

To limit your search/browse to a particular institution, click on the institution's name after choosing the "archival institutions" menu option. Click on the home page link to return to a search of all institutions. Note that there is information about all the member archives of the Saskatchewan Council for Archives and Archivists, and not institutions have holdings information entered.

SAIN is managed by the Saskatchewan Council for Archives and Archivists, with technical support and server hosting by the University of Saskatchewan Library.

The SAIN databases are powered by ICA-AtoM, open source software based on national and international descriptive standards.

ICA-AtoM is maintained and developed by Artefactual Systems Inc., which provided invaluable support during our development process.

The financial support of the Government of Canada through Library and Archives Canada, administered by the Canadian Council of Archives, made possible the initial implementation of this site. We gratefully acknowledge ongoing operational and program funding from the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation, through SaskCulture Inc.
