Scope and content

Item is a commercially-produced copy of Fiddler's Map, a documentary produced by Non-Inferno Media Productions. The video chronicles the journey of Merelda Fiddler, a young Métis woman and descendant of mapmaker Peter Fiddler, as she seeks to discover her roots and identity. In doing so, Fiddler examines Métis history, culture and politics as they relate to her own sense of family and identity.

Fiddler's Map was produced in association with Global Television and the Saskatchewan Communications Network. It was produced by Merelda Fiddler and Robert McTavish; written by Fiddler; directed by McTavish; and edited by Len Krenzler.
