James Benson of the Prince Albert Historical Society loaned this record for copy in one accession in 2004: R2004-204 (May 19, 2004). The Prince Albert Historical Society holds the original film that was copied to optical disc in its permanent holdings.
Scope and content
This item consists of a copy of one film created ca. 1945 by Myrtle Strangways, an educator and amateur cinematographer, and later donated to the Prince Albert Historical Society. The content of the film includes: colour aerial views of lakes, forests and a dam; a float plane; Stanley Mission, including Holy Trinity Anglican Church; black and white footage of people congregating near the church and shore at Stanley Mission; colour footage of people riding horses, equestrian style; and people fishing from a rowboat.
