Scope and content
Records created, accumulated and used mainly by Fred H. Jones and P.H. Kennedy relating to the operation of Conquest Field Shelter Belt Association in Conquest, Saskatchewan. Records include meeting minutes (1935-1942); newspaper clippings; correspondence, mainly with the Canada Department of Agriculture, including the Forest Nursery Station in Indian Head, Saskatchewan; telegrams; Canada Department of Agriculture publications, including Hedges for the Prairies (July 1962); proposed planting plans; membership rolls; a Canadian Pacific Railway Company plan of Conquest dated July 1912; a document entitled The Influence of Field Shelterbelts on Soil Moisture, Crop Yield, Evaporation, Etc. (Data Obtained in 1952); and Climatological Station Registers for Conquest for 1956 to 1963.
