Biographical history
Brian Stubbings was born in 1948 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Ernest and Nelda (Dickson) Stubbings. He is the grandson of William John and Miriam Stubbings of Regina and William and Ellen (Nellie) Dickson of the Oxbow district. Stubbings holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Regina.
Stubbings worked as a teacher in Africa for over ten years. He currently (2010) continues to teach and resides in Regina.
Stubbings and his wife, Els Wilms, have three children: Ruth, Pieter and Daniel.

Scope and content
This collection consists of records created, accumulated and used by Brian Stubbings of Regina, Saskatchewan. The photographs and postcards relate mainly to Stubbings' maternal and paternal family members in Regina and the Oxbow district; to Regina and to southern Saskatchewan towns and villages. Some of the photographs were addressed to Charlotte Stubbings of Regina. Also included are two family histories compiled by Stubbings as follows: The Stubbings and Hessey Families of East Yorkshire, England and Canada (FH-86) and The Dickson and Thrower Families of Scotland, England and Canada (FH-87).
