Biographical history

John George Egnatoff was born in 1914 near Perdue, Saskatchewan. From 1935 to 1978, he worked primarily as an educator and administrator in rural Saskatchewan, Nigeria and Saskatoon. He served as a Liberal member for the Melfort Constituency in the Saskatchewan Legislature from 1948 to 1952. Egnatoff was a regular and executive member of numerous educational, community, cultural and religious organizations at the local, provincial and national level. He died in Saskatoon on August 12, 2005.

Scope and content

This series consists of records created, accumulated and used by Dr. John G. Egnatoff as an arbitrator/concilator on behalf of the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, the Saskatchewan Department of Education, the Department of Health, and the University of Saskatchewan. Also included are records Egnatoff created as a member of the Review Committee on the Moose Jaw Roman Catholic Separate School Division No. 22 and records relating to the study he completed for the Moose Jaw R.C. S.S. D. No. 22 in 1990 .

The types of records included are correspondence, memoranda, interview notes, reports, transcripts, publications, briefs and submissions, background materials, newspaper clippings and audio tapes.
