Administrative history

Aids Saskatoon was founded in 1986 as a volunteer, non-profit, charitable agency with a mission to work with and provide support to those affected by HIV/AIDS and to educate and inform the public about the prevention of HIV/AIDS. In 2020 AIDS Saskatoon was renamed as Prairie Harm Reduction.

This fonds contains textual documents created in the running of AIDS Saskatoon, such as correspondence, meeting minutes and agendas, policies, reports, posters, and other administrative files.

This fonds has been arranged into three series by the archivist. Almost everything arrived in labelled folders, and the names and content of these folders were retained. Names given by the archivist have been placed in [brackets]. Some duplicate items were discarded and in the case of the Annual General Meetings duplicate folders were merged to allow for one folder per year.
