Frobisher Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, part of Estevan Presbytery and containing preaching points at Frobisher, Ernewein and Rockland. By 1936, appointments were limited to Frobisher and Rockland but Out of Sight was added by 1940.

John Frost hailed from Owen Sound, Ontario. On April 3, 1906 he married Mary Emma Harvesa. He later built the Frost Block in Moose Jaw.

Charles Sydney Frost Jr was born on June 21, 1922 in St. John’s Newfoundland. He received his early education at Nutana Collegiate Institute in Saskatoon and Saint John High School. He attended The Royal Military College and upon graduation in 1942 he was commissioned into the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry.

After the war he entered Osgoode Hall Law School and practiced law in Toronto. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1960.

Sydney Frost married Margaret Cabeldu in 1947 and they had three children, Norman, Janet, and Catherine. [bio from A Life Worthwhile]. He passed away in 2009.
