Arthur James Elliott was born April 27, 1895 in Killarney, Manitoba. The family moved to Fielding, Saskatchewan. Elliott attended the University of Saskatchewan. Arthur enlisted for service in World War One, as a private, on June 19, 1916. He was promoted to Lieutenant in June 1917. After being injured A.J. returned to Canada in 1918 and then re-enlisted in the Expeditionary Force in Vladivostok, Russia, in 1919. He re-enlisted again in 1940, this time as a member of the Veteran’s Guard. He died in Sointula, British Columbia, in 1976.

Barbara Joan Elliott was a Diaconal Minister. Born in Kintore, Ontario, the daughter of a United Church minister, she attended the United Church Training School and earned her B.A. in 1965 from the University of Alberta and B.D. in 1968 from St. Stephen’s College. She was designated in Alberta Conference where she first served. She later went to Manitoba Conference and then to Saskatchewan Conference where she worked the longest. She was first involved with Christian education, then in leadership development programs for conference personnel and work with women in the church and feminism.

Dates on some of his notebooks indicate Curtis W. Elliott attended the University of Saskatchewan from 1920-1922 in the college of Arts and Science, making him a contemporary of Jean and Lucy Murray, Bertha Oxner, and Colb McEown, to name a few. His professors during these years are likely to have been A.E. Cameron (histology and zoology); may well have been T. Thorvaldson for chemistry; and Frank Underhill taught the course in English History, using Green's Short History of the English People. Professors for English, physics and Latin are less easily identified but may have included R.A. Wilson, Jean Bayer, E.L. Harrington, and W.G. Sullivan, all of whom were on faculty at the time.

Harold John “Jack” Elliott was born October 26, 1914 in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan to Simon and Mable Elliott. He was raised in Moose Jaw and graduated from the Saskatchewan Normal School as a teacher. He taught for several years in Southern Saskatchewan before joing the Canadian Armed Forces. From 1942-1944 Elliott was a member of the First Special Force, where he served in the Pacific, Mediterranean and European Theatre as a Green Beret. When he returned he joined the Moose Jaw City Police Department. In 1954 he was promoted to Patrol Sergeant and in 1964 was promoted to Sub-Inspector and later Full Inspector. He was also one of the founders and instructors for the Police College in Regina. Elliott retired from the police force in 1979 after serving for 33 years. His family include his wife Annie, three sisters, Mildred, Ethel and Margaret, step-son Brian, son Paul, and daughter Diane. He died October 26, 1992.
